That usually means one of three things: the training has to run on your own data rather than sample datasets, it has to follow the workflows and platform decisions your team has already made, or your requirements are specific enough that no standard course was written for them. In each case we design the curriculum around your environment and deliver it.

How do the 2024 PDPA amendments affect Databricks teams in Malaysia?
Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 was amended in 2024, with the changes phased in from late 2024 into 2025. They include mandatory notification of personal data breaches, a requirement for many organisations to appoint a data protection officer, direct security obligations for data processors, and a revised approach to transferring personal data outside Malaysia.
For a data team, that moves governance out of a policy document and into daily platform work. Training runs on masked, synthetic or properly governed data in your own workspace, and the controls that make the obligations workable are taught as core content.

Banks, insurers and other financial institutions regulated by Bank Negara Malaysia work to its Risk Management in Technology policy document, known as RMiT, which sets expectations for technology risk, cloud use, access control and cyber resilience.
RMiT is detailed and, in places, prescriptive, and no platform course covers it. Is Databricks training in Malaysia claimable through HRD Corp?
No. We are not registered with HRD Corp, so our sessions cannot be claimed against the HRD levy, and we would rather say so plainly than have you find out after booking. Teams usually fund this from their data platform or learning and development budget.
Can the training run on our own Databricks workspace and data?
Yes, and that is the point of it. Sessions run on your own workspace and catalog structure, using masked, synthetic or appropriately governed data wherever the PDPA or your internal policy means real personal data should not be used for practice.
How is this different from Databricks Academy?
They serve different needs. Databricks Academy's standard curriculum is the right starting point for many teams. We are for the teams it does not fit: training that has to run on your own data, follow your workflows or meet specific requirements. If a standard course is what you need, we can deliver that on request too.
