When standard Databricks training doesn't fit
Databricks Academy's standard curriculum is the right starting point for many teams. We're for the teams it doesn't fit.
That usually means one of three things: the training has to run on your own data rather than sample datasets, it has to follow the workflows and platform decisions your team has already made, or your requirements are specific enough that no standard course was written for them. In each case we design the curriculum around your environment and deliver it.
If a standard, non-custom Databricks course is what your team needs, we can deliver that on request too.
How does Thailand's PDPA shape Databricks training?
Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) came fully into force in June 2022 and is overseen by the Personal Data Protection Committee. It sets conditions on transferring personal data outside Thailand and requires notifying the regulator of qualifying personal data breaches within 72 hours of becoming aware of them.
The transfer conditions matter because many Thai teams run their workspace outside Thailand. Training runs on masked, synthetic or governed data in your own workspace, and covers the storage, access and lineage decisions that let a team show where personal data sits and who can reach it.

What changes for financial services teams in Thailand?
Financial institutions supervised by the Bank of Thailand work to its regulations on IT risk management, which cover governance, access control, cyber resilience, and the use of third-party and cloud services.
Custom training covers the Databricks practices those regulations lean on: least-privilege access, audit logs, lineage, and a controlled route for pipelines and models into production. We teach the platform; your risk and compliance teams own how it maps onto the Bank of Thailand's requirements.
How are Thai organisations approaching AI governance?
Thailand's Electronic Transactions Development Agency (ETDA) has published guidance on AI governance for organisations, and proposals for dedicated AI legislation have been under public consultation. For most organisations, that guidance is where an internal AI policy starts.
On Databricks, that guidance turns into specific engineering habits: evaluating model outputs before release, limiting what an agent can read or call, and registering models and the data behind them in Unity Catalog, so the governance has something concrete to inspect.
Where does your Databricks workspace sit?
At the time of writing, AWS operates a cloud region in Thailand and other providers have announced plans for one, but Databricks does not run in every cloud region, so many Thai teams run their workspace in a nearby region such as Singapore. Training is built on the cloud and region you actually use, because networking, storage, identity and data residency all differ between them.

Our lead trainer holds all four Databricks certifications: Generative AI Engineer Associate, Machine Learning Engineer Associate, Data Engineer Associate and Data Engineer Professional. Custom programs can be structured to build towards a certification on your own data, which tends to stick better than preparing on sample datasets alone.
Certification exams are booked and sat directly with Databricks. We prepare the team; we do not administer the exam.

Can the training run on our own Databricks workspace and data?
Yes, and that is the point of it. Sessions run on your own workspace and catalog structure, using masked, synthetic or appropriately governed data wherever Thailand's PDPA or your internal policy means real personal data should not be used for practice.
How is this different from Databricks Academy?
They serve different needs. Databricks Academy's standard curriculum is the right starting point for many teams. We are for the teams it does not fit: training that has to run on your own data, follow your workflows or meet specific requirements. If a standard course is what you need, we can deliver that on request too.
Do you deliver Databricks training onsite in Bangkok?
Yes. We deliver onsite in Bangkok and elsewhere in Thailand, with travel quoted at cost on top of the session fee. Live online delivery in Thai business hours is also available for distributed teams.
Can Databricks training be delivered in Thai?
Not at the moment. Sessions are delivered in English, which is also the language of the Databricks platform, its documentation and its certification exams. We would rather say that plainly than promise Thai delivery we cannot yet provide.
How is Databricks training priced in Thailand?
